Star Trek TNG inspired Lamp

I grew up in a SciFi household. And one of the greatest Science fiction universes of all time is Star Trek. Growing up I watched every episode I could of every Star Trek show, From the original series (SPOCK RULES) all the way through Voyager and beyond. So I jumped at the chance when someone asked me to make a Star Trek inspired lamp (I actually made two you can see my Original series lamp online as well)

This lamp is my send up to the Star Trek Universe instead of a single show.

The First Panel shows the Enterprise from Star Trek The Next Generation as well as the Star Fleet Insignia from The Next Generation. (For those of you who saw my Star Trek The Original series Lamp you are seeing a trend:))

The Next Panel Shows another great Federation Ship, The USS Voyager and again with the Star Fleet insignia from the show. On a side note, I like how the Star Fleet insignia has evolved with each show.

I could not ignore the other great civilizations of the Star Trek Universe. Soooo....

The Next panel shows a Romulan Warbird and the symbol for the Romulan Empire.

My Last Panel show a Klingon Bird of Prey with the iconic 3 pointed symbol of the Klingon Empire.

I saved the Top of the lamp for my personal favorite Star Trek Series Deep Space Nine. NOt only do you have the station known both as Deep Space Nine but to the Bajorans as Terok Nor (I told you I grew up with this show right:) ) And the Bajoran National symbol (There were enough Star Fleet insignias on the lamp:)

Please understand that each lamp is custom made, so the wood grains or shade will vary from the picture. But I do work to make sure each side matches on any individual lamp. Each Lamp is approximately 6” on a side and 12” tall. Each comes with a 6’ cord with an inline switch. The socket is for a regular bulb (not included). The wire is rated to 75 watts but to avoid heat buildup only high efficiency CFL or LED bulbs around 5 watts (60+ Watt equivalent) should be used. The wood is 5mm pine or sandalwood ply with a rice paper backing to provide for a wonderful contrast. The wood ships unfinished to allow the natural grain to shine, But you can stain or otherwise finish the wood relatively easily to your liking. I designed them so that once the panels are slid into the base the base cannot be removed, but for bulb changing the top can be pulled off relatively easily. Each Lamp can be made and shipped usually within three days to a week of ordering. But that time really depends on how many orders I am working on. I ship using USPS priority with the US...I can ship internationally for special requests but the shipping rate will depend on the details.

The entire Lamp is designed to be flat packed for ease of shipping but is simple to assemble.
